As per the official reports, the lab tests found only 0% to 3% alcohol soluble extract instead of the mandatory 5% minimum, which indicates 30-40% less raw hing was used. The reports also found excess starch content of up to 15% to 32% in raw hing, when the limit is only 1%. This shows that a big name does not always mean best quality. Asafoetida is something I use in almost every recipe - my sambar, rasam, mor kuzhambu, kara kuzhambu, and upma. Just a small pinch gives such a rich aroma and elevates the entire dish. And more than taste, it is so good for health and digestion. That is why trust is very important. Whether we are women or men who cook, we are responsible for our family's well-being. What we add to the food matters. And that is why I trust TT. They have been completely transparent and have shared their recent lab report on their page.
